The Purpose of Creating This Blog

Social media is now a big part of our lives. For many of us, we broadcast everything that's happening to us, in our favorite social media sites.

From photos, videos, and thoughts that run through our mind, we share them on social media. It's a great emotional outlet for most of us.

But have you ever experienced posting something on Facebook that's too long? Too long it resembles something like a blog post or article?

It's happening to me, almost daily.

I am one of those expression persons you'll ever meet, but I express myself more on text posts rather than videos.

Being an introvert person, I am more comfortable writing than shooting videos of myself.

Soon, I will learn how to create videos and master Youtube or Facebook Live, but for now, I express myself via text posts.

Now, imagine if you have something to post that's quite long. It may be awkward if you post all the thoughts in your timeline.

That's my reason for starting this blog.

I have updates, ideas, and things I'd like to share that are not ideal for social media posting. They are better off posted in a blog post.

But why create a blog in a free blogging platform like blogspot?

Well, I used to blog in the past in premium blogging platforms. There were times I was blogging in a $10 per month platform. Then, on a $49 per month.

Those premium platforms that I used, they're good at loading speed, and in helping your post get ranked high in Google...

Also, lots of customization available.

But there's one thing that I encountered that's crucial, if you want to have your blog stay online almost forever...

Your blog must be in a platform that can host it, even if you run out of money!

What I mean is, those premium blogging platforms, your blog's existence is only as good as your capacity to pay your hosting...

And once you stop paying your host, your blog gets deleted!

It happened to me many times, that after writing a lot of content, I ended up with nothing. My blog got deleted.

In our lives, we can't be so sure what will happen tomorrow. Sometimes, you're up financially, and sometimes you're down.

So, to make sure my blog will be stay online for my followers to read.. I now prefer hosting my blog in a free blogging platform like blogspot.

Of course, this does not immune me to disadvantages, but this is something compatible with my goal...

To have a blog in my name, that can stay almost forever, as long as Google exist.
